Nita Lake Lodge
Introduction:
Recognized as one of the best resorts in North America, Nita Lake Lodge offers a resort experience that balances tranquil luxury with the alpine comfort of a ski trip adventure. The website for the Lodge needed a redesign to display the natural splendor of the building and it's surroundings. The features of the lodges interior also needed to be felt by future guests and includes cosy suites, gourmet dining, wedding and event facilities, and a unique spa and wellness centre.
Challenge:
It was difficult to visually express all facets and elements of the hotel and its surroundings because of the variety in the hotels spaces. Because of this the new website was to focus on key highlights to capture interest immediately and persuade users to continue to navigate throughout the website. Users were to feel and imagine
the experience of their future stay before booking online. This was KIMBO Design's challenge: to create a site that would engage the target audience to book a stay at Whistler-Creekside's Nita Lake Lodge.
Strategy:
KIMBO Design captured the rustic elegance of this alpine resort in a unique custom designed experience. The stylized use of wood-like effects reflect both rustic comfort of the Lodge and the serene setting in which it is situated. Inspired by the Lodge's natural surroundings and the iconic on-site Rocky Mountaineer train station, KIMBO's design included details such as bolts and railway sleepers in the navigation menu.
Result:
KIMBO designed a highly visual website that has attracted many of the target clientele. Currently, Nita Lake Lodge is voted number 1 on TripAdvisor.
