Vancouver branding and website design agency recognized for creative excellence at prestigious international award competition
Vancouver, BC, Canada – July 4, 2011 – Boutique branding and website design agency KIMBO Design Inc. is the recipient of two awards in the 2011 Summit Creative Award competition. The Summit International Awards judges were impressed by the firm's "refined yet practical" wine bottle umbrella and their Christy Clark – Choose New Leadership campaign. These prestigious awards recognize KIMBO Design's superior standout presence and reputation for design excellence.
KIMBO Design's innovative design and signature style beat out top design companies from 22 countries, earning the firm a silver award in the self-promotion specialty item category. This award acknowledges the sophisticated yet minimalist approach to KIMBO Design's wine bottle umbrella.
"We restricted the colours to black and white, and the rounded angled lines follow the path that the rain takes as it falls from the edge of the umbrella," says Kim Pickett, Principal / Creative Director of KIMBO Design. The umbrella – a holiday gift – was delivered on one of the rainiest days in December.
KIMBO Design's high-end graphic design and personalized website solutions also saw the firm receive a bronze award in the political campaign category. KIMBO Design developed the creative vision and branding for British Columbia Premier Christy Clark. The key focus for this project was website development, integrated social media and other marketing techniques specifically tailored to Christy Clark's vision and goals.
This is not the first time KIMBO Design has been awarded for its branding and web design. Previously, the firm won a Bronze Summit Self-Promotion Award for a wine opener emblazoned with a personal message. KIMBO Design also scooped a Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award for the Uganda Rising website. Pickett says that this additional recognition by Summit International Awards further cements the company position as a leading local branding and custom website design agency.
