Business Development Manager/RFP Writer (B2B / Public Sector Focus)

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager/ RFP Writer to help us grow our client base and deepen relationships across government, municipal, Crown, and enterprise sectors.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities across federal, provincial, municipal, Crown corporation, and enterprise sectors.
• Lead proactive outreach within the federal and provincial government buying ecosystem, including relationship-building with procurement teams, program owners, and communications and IT leaders.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers (procurement officers, project leads, communications and IT managers).
• Monitor and respond to relevant RFPs and RFIs with tailored proposals.
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations, capability decks, and case study content in collaboration with our creative team.
• Maintain a CRM or pipeline to track leads and opportunities.
• Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences (in-person or virtual) to grow Kimbo’s network and visibility.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, agency business development, or public sector procurement.
• Demonstrated experience conducting outreach within federal and provincial government buying environments, including navigating procurement frameworks and long sales cycles.
• Proven ability to sell services (not products) using a consultative approach.
• Strong understanding of Canadian public procurement processes and government culture.
• Strong communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with creative, digital, or communications services is a major plus.
• Self-starter who’s excited to shape and grow a BD function within a purpose-driven agency.

Nice to Have

• Direct experience selling to municipalities, Crown agencies, or ministries.
• Familiarity with digital transformation, stakeholder engagement, or content strategy.
• Past work in or alongside a creative or digital agency.
