Kim Pickett
Principal / Creative Director

Kim Pickett started early as a creative professional when her classmates engaged her to complete their coloring book assignments. At this early age, Kim demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit when she considered charging her classmates for her design work; though found that their lunch money barely covered her expenses. After graduating with honours from York University's Design program in 2001, Kim could have chosen to decamp to any number of design firms. Instead, she chose to remain in Canada and founded KIMBO Design in Vancouver.

In the years since, Kim has demonstrated an ability to solve difficult visual communication problems – creating branding, identity, and interactive assets for such clients as Benjamin Moore, Bruce Mau, Discovery Computers, the North Shore Multicultural Center, Abacus Capital, and the Christy Clark campaign.

Kim's work has brought her recognition through invitations to present at both the GDC Blue Sky Conference as well as the Toronto Flash user's group, FlashinTO. She has been interviewed on the "Career Moves" program about young entrepreneurs in Canada, and has also been profiled on FlashGoddess.com, a web site that showcases notable women designers from around the world. Kim is also a member of GDC (Society of Graphic Designers of Canada) and NewMediaBC.

Thanh Nguyen
Web Developer

Thanh is a highly motivated and goal orientated web development problem solver. He is experienced with both leading a web design team and collaborating with designers and clients in finding the best solution to project needs. Thanh's passion for new web development techniques has led him to become a specialist in WordPress customization and other open source applications.

Thanh's experience as a front-end web designer has provided him with the ability to think critically about information design. This experience coupled with his patient and careful troubleshooting has given him a keen insight into understanding user needs. Through working with designers, Thanh has also developed an intuitive sense of good design concepts making him a valuable member of the Kimbo Design team.

Carla Trevisi
Graphic Designer

Carla Trevisi is a graphic designer from Vancouver. She has always been involved in art and enjoyed problem solving. She took her first graphic design class in grade nine where she discovered she was able to merge art and problem solving into one. Since then, she has been constantly learning about art and design. Carla graduated from both the Foundation Visual Art & Design, and Digital Design programs at Vancouver Film School (VFS). She graduated with an award for Best Communication Design.

Carla is always focused on exploring new and creative solutions while creating effective designs that achieve client's goals. She has experience in both print design and web design which is an added asset to any web project.
