The Automotive Retailers Association (ARA) engaged KIMBO Design to redesign and develop their website. A complex project, this redesign involved building a custom CMS that would accommodate a public site with secure login areas.

The Challenge:
ARA’s functional requirements list was quite lengthy and included separate secure login areas for members, board members and group benefits representatives. Our challenge was to create a simple, user-friendly site that would meet all technical requirements.
The Strategy:
We recommended and implemented WordPress as the most appropriate CMS solution. Our developers pushed the limits of plug-in and widget customization in order to meet all items on ARA’s functional requirements list. Furthermore, we provided ARA with a member database solution that allows the admin to search for and filter members.
This site features an administrative area with various permission levels (e.g. the ability to edit pages and content, and to update news and announcements). A central admin has complete control over the website, while department representatives are permitted to control department-specific news and updates.
Results
Our web development team met all of ARA’s functional requirements, and we delivered a highly technical product that is simple to update and maintain.
