The Challenge

The Kane team sought to refresh their brand identity while preserving its core elements. They wanted to retain their existing color palette to maintain brand recognition but needed a modernized logo that better reflected their growth and evolution. Their requests included refining the typography to improve readability and updating their iconic tree symbol to align with a more contemporary aesthetic.

The challenge was to strike the perfect balance: honouring the company’s established brand while creating a fresh, forward-thinking design. KIMBO rose to the occasion by delivering a logo that met all the client’s requirements. The revamped typography ensures clarity and accessibility across platforms, while the updated tree icon combines sleek, modern lines with a subtle nod to the company’s roots.

The Strategy

Kane Consulting’s new website was designed with a focus on sustainability and efficiency, catering to the increasing demand for mobile accessibility. Recognizing the shift from power-intensive desktop browsing to more streamlined mobile experiences, KIMBO Design adopted a mobile-first approach.

The development team built the site using modern, lightweight HTML5 and CSS3 code to maximize performance. This strategic coding choice eliminated the need to repeatedly download large assets like bitmaps and rich media, reducing page load times and energy consumption.

To enhance usability, user experience (UX) strategies were integrated to help visitors complete tasks more efficiently. This approach not only improves user satisfaction but also minimizes the website’s overall energy demands, contributing to a smaller internet footprint.

Additionally, the website was optimized for search engines. This dual focus on performance and discoverability ensures the site is easier to index, further reducing the resources required for search engines to process it while increasing its visibility.
