Ministry of Education and Child Care – 5th Mental Health in Schools Conference

Project Overview

The Ministry of Education and Child Care hosted the 5th annual Mental Health in Schools Conference, held May 5–6, 2025. Centered around the theme Walking Alongside, the event aimed to foster collaboration and dialogue among educators, mental health professionals, and community partners. KIMBO Design was engaged to develop the event branding and create both digital and print assets that conveyed the theme while maintaining a consistent visual identity across all materials.

The Challenge

The core challenge was to create a unified event brand that visually embodied the theme Walking Alongside, a concept rooted in empathy, support, and shared journeys, while ensuring accessibility and consistency across all conference materials. The designs needed to reflect the tone of the conference and align with the Ministry’s broader messaging on mental health, inclusion, and school safety.

The Strategy

Our creative approach began with translating the theme Walking Alongside into visual language. Using soft, approachable colors, natural elements, and inclusive imagery, we aimed to represent connection and mutual support. We established a visual identity that could be applied consistently across digital and print formats, ensuring brand cohesion. Special attention was given to accessibility, choosing readable typefaces, high-contrast colors, and clean layouts that would resonate with a diverse audience. We also aligned supporting collateral for the erase program to reinforce its presence and values throughout the conference.
